A woman who died following a crash in Peterborough yesterday afternoon (15 May) has been named.

Lillian Clark, 99, of Sunnymead, Werrington was crossing Davids Lane, in Werrington, when she was struck by a car at about 1pm. Mrs Clark died at the scene.

The driver of the car was not injured. No arrests have been made in connection with the collision.

Lillian’s family have asked for their privacy to be respected, but did release this statement:

“She was a much loved and dear auntie, great auntie and great-great auntie. We are all devastated by her recent passing in such tragic circumstances.”

Lorry looks to be waiting to deliver, no need to wait here though.

Plenty of space a few hundred yards away and not putting kids in danger.

The FORS symbol would seem to be misplaced.

There are some good quality cycle routes in this area - here the walkers are separated from the cyclists by gently angled bricks that enable a smooth transition.

Suddenly the nice cycle route through 'the village' reaches this severe steel barrier which requires multiple shuffling around to get the bike through.

I can't help feeling that the residents in 'the village' have tried to shut out the people from the modern housing estate beyond.
